Wedding of Norah and Casey - October 23, 2010

Norah and Casey hired me to be their day of coordinator.

Casey is very organized and administrative and between he and Norah, had everything set in place. This was a very easy wedding to coordinate.

Their main color was yellow, so they chose sunflowers as their signature flower. They were beautiful. Casey had created a sunflower backdrop that showed on a big screen during the ceremony. The ceremony itself was short, sweet and to the point. Casey and Norah wanted to get the party started.

The reception was held in the ballroom at Golden Bull Grand Cafe. As Norah is Korean, upon arrival at the reception, she and Casey changed into traditional Korean clothes. When they were introduced into the reception, they walked directly to the center of the dance floor where I pre-placed pillows for them to kneel on to do a traditional Korean bow to Norah’s parents. Then, Casey’s parents also participated. This was such a sweet thing to witness as they honored their parents.

They did not have the traditional wedding cake. Instead, two of Casey’s aunts made 15 different flavors of cupcakes.
They did an “untraditional” first dance to the song, “Whip It.” It was so much fun to watch and they had a blast dancing to it. All the guests seemed to enjoy it, too, as witnessed by their laughter and clapping throughout the dance.

I loved working with Norah and Casey. It was a blast.

Thank you and congratulations!
